Almost there

I’ve had this bag for a few months now and I’ve had the chance to use it not only as my daily backpack but also took it abroad as my travel backpack on a recent trip to the UK. The bag looks good and doesn’t stain easily. It has lots of well thought out compartments that mean that you can store a large variety of items neatly and safely and the side opening ability means that you can grab things out of the bag extremely quickly and conveniently. The secret pocket at the back is also extremely handy. Much like my other doughnut bags, however, it feels like the bag design is almost perfect but there’s always some niggling issues. With this bag, the main issue is how easily the zip for the main compartment opens. If you just want to open the top to grab something, the zip is so slack that you often end up opening the bag wide open by accident which leads to potential items dropping out. I’ve tried to find a way to only partially open the zip without opening it fully but more often than not, after a few moments, the zip has already started creeping down the side of the bag. The second issue is how quickly the weather sealed strip at the top degrades. Basically, the zip scrapes against it everytime you open it so it shows signs of wear and tear within days of use. Overall, I think the bag is good but suffers from a few niggling design flaws.
